Returns Policy
Damages, shortages and faults are to be reported at the time of delivery and we will be more than happy to offer you an exchange or the missing item at no charge.
If goods are returned due to unsuitability then once they are physically
back in our warehouse in St Helens and have been checked to ensure
they have been returned complete, in perfect condition, unused and
with the original packaging then you will be refunded by cheque less
the delivery charge on the consignment. If we have to return to an
address to collect furniture once it has been accepted then we will
also charge a collection fee that is equivalent to the delivery charge
made at the time of order.
For all returns, except where the item is faulty, you will be required to pay for the return of the products to us. Please send the goods to us ensuring that you retain proof of posting, the address is Belle Maison Direct, Unit 3, Bedford Street, Parr Industrial Estate, St Helens, WA9 1PN and include you order reference number, the reason for the return and whether you would like a refund or exchange. If you could also email details of the return to returns@bellemaison.com then we know to look out for the item when it arrives back. We will not send anyone to collect goods sent out by courier if they are being returned.
We will send our one or two man delivery crews to collect furniture being returned but that will be a chargeable service at the same cost of the outward delivery. i.e. if you buy a bed and get it delivered by our one man service the cost of delivery will be £50, if that item is then returned due to unsuitability and our crew have to return to your property to collect it then you will be charged an additional £50 - Total cost £100 for the delivery and collection. Manufacturing and delivering furniture of our quality is an expensive business and we would rather not sell you the item if there is any doubt you will not like it when it arrives or it will not fit in you final desired location.
We do stress that when returning items it is strongly recommended that you obtain proof of collection or posting. We cannot accept responsibility for parcels or furniture lost in transit and can only refund once the goods are received back in our St Helens warehouse and have been inspected. |
Clearance Shop and Christmas Specials
Please note that we will not take back goods due to 'unsuitability' if they have been purchased from our Clearance Shop, the reason they have been put there and are so massively reduced is because they are either very old stock or slightly marked or damaged. We would prefer all items purchased from our Clearance Shop to be collected from our outlet store in St Helens, but if this is not possible we can arrange for them to be delivered by a third party carrier but this will not change our policy on the purchase of Clearance items. If in doubt do not buy them and pay the full price for goods that you know come with the security of our full returns policy. The same policy applies to Christmas Specials, if in doubt do not buy them and pay the full price for goods that you know come with the security of our full returns policy.
Bespoke, Custom Made and Special Order Items
We can not accept back any non standard items or products that have been made or adapted especially for you that we do not carry as standard items in stock. Items that are carried as standard products in our current range are shown in our latest brochure advertised on the homepage of this web site. We do not sell any textiles, cushions or fabrics as standard products although do make some on request as 'one off's'; if you wish to purchase these then it is strongly advised that you take the time to come to our workshops in St Helens to check them when complete because a few hours drive can save disappointment when they arrive if they are not as you envisaged them to be.
